There is maemo-confirm-text which I'm using to prompt which card to install data files on. Ok = mmc1, Cancel = mmc2. Not really meant for the job, but it does the trick and should be installed by default

See first post ....
Installed size is corrected.
New installation menu. It shows if you do not have /usr/share/games/widelands directory. If it exist the game will be installed directly there.

I had to install the following libraries manually, through redpill mode
libsdl-gfx1.2-4
libsdl-net1.2
libsdl-ttf2.0-0

Maybe you can include them in the first .deb?

No, They could not be included in my deb because they are in other official debs. The packet manager should install them when you tried to install widelands because in widelands control files is written that it depends these libraries. Why the packet manager did not do that i do not know. Maybe if widelands....deb was in any repository it will work.

However you have the game now so enjoy.

Another idea
do not use GUI app manager use apt-get apt-cache dpkg they always work in the matrix and they are very powerful

yeah... was too tired yesterday to think about this... you're right, command-line is always the best

and the game works perfectly

The application manager policy seems to be
'whut? you want to install a .deb from a file? That's not how you're supposed to do it. You're supposed to download from repositories, so I'm not going to resolve and install dependencies for this package.'

Hi, i´ve a problem regarding the instalation of widelands.

widelands-bin 0.3-1 install ok after installing
libsdl-gfx1.2-4
libsdl-net1.2
libsdl-ttf2.0-0 in red pill mode

widelands-data 0.3 ~ 18MB cannot be installed (red or blue pill - the same result)

i´ve the n810, 4GB miniSDHC (formated with internal fileprogram) running latest OS.
now i´m trying to install to internal, but please help me to install it to the card.

thanks

edit: install to rootFS works...
but i want it to be stored on my card... how should i do that?
sorry for bad english
