So, any chance of an x48 release, or do we have to compile that ourselves?

You can try this quick and dirty package and extract one of the two roms on this site directly in your home directory (so they really extract in ~/.hp48).

Thanks Yann. If you have time, can you run the HP48 benchmark tool talked about here http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...highlight=hp48 and post your results. I'm curious to see how the Nokia's speed compares to a real HP.

Could someon give me easy directions tol follow as to how to install this because it would be very useful for me. I just clicked on the link provided and installed it but it doesn't work for me. What else do I need to do to make this work?

You need to dump a ROM file from a real Texas Instruments calculator and move it to your Tablet so TiEmu can use it. The ROM file is the actual brains that lets TiEmu work.

If you own such a calculator you can download a ROM image from the Ti website....

Does this not work on OS2007? I just tried installing from the "Install Now" link and Application Manager tells me that it is "incompatible".

Unfortunately it doesn't.

I reflashed to OS 2007 briefly a few weeks ago and because TiEmu 2 couldn't be installed on it, went back to OS 2008.

BTW: I've been working my way through the book "TI-89 Graphing Calculator For Dummies" the last 2 weeks. I'm in Chapter 7 and so far TiEmu has been able to do everything in the book. I really, really love this emulator.

Can a version be compiled for OS2007? There are a lot of us still using this version and the TI calculator would be very useful.

I tried OS2008, but had so much trouble with multiple key presses and screen taps that it was unusable. Until this is fixed, I can't see going to OS 2008.
