Just for comparision to the ipod touch

Top 10 uses Vs Ipod touch
Email using webmail and Modest ---- yes.... maybe better than NIT
Websurfing - Built in Browser ---- Yes but not the complete web
IM with MSN and Googletalk 'friends' - RTCOMM update------ No
Note taking with a paired Bluetooth Keyboard ---- No way
Internet Radio with the built client and Streamtuner---- No way
Podcasts and Youtube with Canola---- Yes and better than NIT
SipPhone via built in client I call free within US Canada because of Grandcentral and cheap overseas.----- In your dreams
E-book reader with FBreader---- No way
Rhapsody player, I have a rhapsody to go mobile phone I already pay for (Nokia N75)--- Not even in your dreams
RSS reading with the built in reader.--- No idea

All these functions are achieved with ZERO hacking and with single click installs directly from the device.

My top uses are:
* Web - particularly Facebook, IMBD, BBC news & Scrabulous
* GPS - works a treat for me, your mileage may (literally) vary
* RSS - blogs, news, this forum...
* MP3 / video player
* Podcasts, Internet radio, BBC listen again
* Skype & Pidgin from time to time.

i was mainly looking for an internet capable device that had GPS or for a GPS device that had wifi

i use it on and off, but so far largest gain i have seen is from long distance navigation and accessing web away from home (airport/hotel etc)

So how is it for looking at pics?.. I read a lot of comics but its hard to take comics to work to read and not get funny looks from people unless they are hard covers which people just think you are reading a normal book

I find the native Sketch app pretty handy - just for making notes without thinking (keyboards are fine, but they need thought).

yes it can. I've been using the ipod software allok's video to ipod conversion in the mp4 format and it works great. It also increases the volume of files which is a necessity for the N810.
