I also have an S60 phone (6120) and this makes me jealous as well.

I have found amora fot the S60s, but it requires a serverside componant as well. Wondering if the SE remote needs one, and if anyone has tryied it on the N8x0

Finally I got hold a nokia mobile phone !!! my girlfriends nokia 6300
There is an application called Nokia Wireless presenter (it has two parts one runs on PC and the other on the mobile just google for you model, eg "Nokia wireless presenter 6300") .
http://www.nokia-asia.com/A4416517

Use that to create a new profile for the phone and refresh it. If you are connected to your phone it will add this new profile to you phone.

The hardware key list

Funny !?! There is no option of saving the profile and uploading it.

Now for using it with n800, I have no clue.
For N95 they have replaced it with Psiloc Wireless Presenter.

Sony Ericsson phones acts as a HID Compliant bluetooth device : so it is seen like a keyboard by the NIT !
Are we sure that this Pionneer BT Remote control is HID compliant as well ?

I am not sure. I mailed their support and havent got any reply. Are there any other similar bluetooth profiles that they could have used or they just implemented their properitary protocol ? These will be answered once I get hold of the device.

Any one else know of a HID compliant remote (doesnt have to be steering wheel remote )

Pega Wii PS3 Bluetooth Remote Control
Sony PS3 bluetooth remote
TomTom Bluetooth Remote Control

If not we could try it the old way, LIRC and media center remote.

Tried the HID file on a K550i (gf's moby). No interface on the phone but it worked-ish.

PS: I'm a BT dummy, is it possible to use these HID files on one tablet to control another? Second tablet would be plugged into the hifi.

You cannot use those HID file in a tablet but you can write a HID "client". There was one app that transformed your 770 into a HID Compliant Bluetooth keyboard ...

AVRCP would be the natural protocol; but you might find some that are HID.

The wiimote is clearly the "ultimate" remote available now, and apparently works pretty well via cwiid. But it's not $20 with steering wheel mount, either.

works fine on my k550i. By interface, do you mean the PNG dummy background?

Thanks for the suggestions. @Cptnoregard: yep, I just got the bg the gf has selected, not any gfx showing controls.
