Nope, onscreen fingerboard here, except in portrait mode...

Edit: Obviously, I meant that I regularly use the onscreen boards, not always; as mentioned before, I'll use a BT board (Palm 3245WW) or my desktop's keyboard when convenient.

I doubt I can find a vbulletin hack that does that. I'll try to see if I can find one at vbulletin.org.

Just an FYI, here's itT's March 2008 stats on the screen resolution that visitors use. We can see that 16.48% use the tablet (at 800x480 resolution).

Any data on 480x800? (Obviously not on that chart, but thought you might have numbers for less frequent resolutions...)

You might be able to tell who's using a tablet by doing a statistical analysis of double-letter typos. In my case, there's a clear correlation between shortness of message and whether I'm using a tablet.

I often find when using a tablet that stray words or lys havely beeren put in the midtermdle of my words. Usually I manage to correct them.

Sure, it's about 0.058%.

Cool, xrandr is alive and well; proudly among the 0.35% doing it.

My N800 e-mail replies always have
(Sent from Nokia mobile tablet)
under the post so clients will know I'm answering their e-mails without the benefit of being in the office.

Does anybody with more familiarity with vBulletin than me know of any good plugins that could be adapted to something like this?

I have 0 familiarity, but a quick google turned up:

Which looks vaguely relevant, if useragent is considered a good proxy for hardware. (We could also flag iPhone posts that way, which would be entertaining with some people using an unmodified iPhone UA on their tablets...)

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=102270
Implements mood, which could be used to show what device that person is currently using...
