i don't use my n810 as a mp3-player, because i've a iRiver H340 wich i changed to a H360 by ?inserting? (don't know the right word - sorry) a 60GB harddrive.
but without my iRiver i would use the tablet with canola2 as mp3-player.
i have the crative ep 630 earphones, the best i've ever listened. they are the same as the sennheiser cx300 but costs just 1/10. i've bought 15 of them from china for 6€ per piece and have sold them here in germany for a much higher price. but I am using them, too, because they are so good.

The N810 with MediaBox replaced my iRiver completely. Now the iRiver is collecting dust.

yeah.. but i need so many storage (60GB Harddisk) and over the day i need the n810(and its batterie) for other purposes. i have rockbox installed on my iriver, it's a lot better than the built-in OS.
i need to go with train for 1 hour to school and the way back, too. so it means 2 hours a day less other things with the tablet. btw i like my iriver... lol it's so fat.
ok then...
have a nice day!

I mostly use my old iPod Shuffle for podcasts, etc. But recently on a long drive, the battery died. I pulled out my N800, and resumed pretty much where i left off. This is unusual. Apparently, i forgot to charge the iPod. I have two batteries for my N800, and combined they don't add up to the iPod. It was nice to have backup. Every now and then, i'll use the N800 with speakers, instead of the iPod.

I don't load stuff onto the iPod from the N800 directly. Both come from the desktop. This is why i don't do RSS from the N800...

As for earbuds, we'll, i'd like them, but none fit my right ear. My left ear is fine, but they don't stay in my right ear. The ears look the same...

Improvement on Hogwash, easier to swallow, literally,
Original command to recover xmms:

xmmsctrl launch main 0 equalizer 0 play_list 0 main 1 equalizer 1 play_list 1

Now reduced to something easier to remember:

xterm
xmmsctrl main 0 main 1

And thats it.
