The best answer to all of these types of questions is:

The level of intelligence on the planet is a constant, but the population is rising.

So grabbing an M60 and shooting up the neighborhood really does make me smarter? Well, it makes someone smarter, anyway...

j/k, of course.

What's frustrating is how many people credit the iPhone for things it didn't invent. It wasn't even the first phone to use that browser, Nokia's S60 uses the same webkit rendering engine and it was available over a year before the iPhone was announced. Many supposedly iPhone-only sites work on the S60 browser, and they'll probably all work when Nokia starts releasing touchscreen S60 models.

No doubt when the iPhone gets Flash support many commentators will claim this is a first too, even though S60's browser already had Flash support at the beginning of 2007. The latest version of the S60 browser even supports Flash video sites like YouTube without any separate applications required.

S60 phones aren't obscure pieces of technology either, they sell tens of millions every year.

It's almost as frustrating as people who think Blackberry invented mobile e-mail.

So does one have to have a prick to be a prick?

A private message to the OP (original poster) with as much updated information as possible would probably be appropriate.

You may resume your innuendo fest.
