I'm using Transcend cards a lot and so far had no problem. One 256MB SD (Palm T2), one 1GB SD (camera), one 4GB 150x non-sdhc (used for mmc boot with N800), one 4GB miniSD (mmc boot N810), one 8GB full SDHC (mmc boot now in N800), one 8GB microSD (mmc boot now in N810). No issues, good performance, looks like I'm lucky. Had one 1GB SanDisk RS-MMC for 770, it was my worst investment, slow as hell and overpriced, Kingston 2GB mmcmobile is still excellent in 770.

Transcend works fine for me. Currently use two in my N800
1 8gb sdhc (class 6) - which I boot from (internal slot)
1 16gb sdhc (class 6) - which holds data (external slot)

My 8GB Class 6 SDHC card from Transcend died after a few months (last but one version of OS 2007).

Now I use AData 16GB Class 6 SDHC with OS 2008. No problems so far.

So keeping a list.

Patriot 8gb micro - bad
Adata flaky
Transcend doubts exist.

Kingston and Sandisk - no complaints.

I've got two 2GB Transcend cards that I used to use on the N800 and now I mainly use them on my cameras.. they seemed to work just fine and have been more reliable than most I've tried. The two 8GB A-Data were the ones that flaked out and died on me.

I'm not having problems with my 8gb full sdhc Patriot card.

I had an 8GB Transcend (used to boot from) and it died in 3 days. Totally dead, nothing would revive it. I now use a 2GB SanDisk to boot from, a card that I've been using as my primary SD card for 2 years, and not single problem. Sheer probably says that after all that time I would at least have a little corruption at some point? Nope. I also have an 8GB Kingston (had it a few months), and also no problems.

Transcend has convinced me. Over time, a cheap SD card is an expensive SD card.

I had an 8gb sandisk micro die after 4 months, but I got a replacement very quickly.
