Installing Personal Launcher and Sudser allowed me to open a Sirius stream without manually, first opening X-terminal, and second getting root.
Personal Launcher and Sudser complete both steps for me, awesome!
All I have to do is enter a stream name

Do this; install rootsh, then in the personal menu launcher instead of:
python /home/user/MyDocs/sipie.py
run
rootsh python /home/user/MyDocs/sipie.py
and then deselect both the run in terminal and run as root options.. see if that helps.
