I have wasted my time posting both a bug on bugzilla and the problem on the inanswered forums on Pidgin's site. The Nokia is useless without apps, Nobody told the developers to write the software, and nobody is holding a gun to their heads, if they are going to do, and release it to the public, they should at LEAST have the integrity to TRY it beforehand. And PLEASE, come off your high holier than thou "I'm a Linux" geek horse. You're not impressing anyone here, as I am sure you don't in real life either.

And I posted the errors. The "install file is corrupt"

Okay, regardless of this, what is the correct manual command to launch Microb from Pidgin?

st5150, the only thing polluted is the smegma between your ears. When I want your opinion, I'll pass gas, as your mom did birthing you. Please, find a hobby. BYE!

That was a nice waste of time. Says it needs about 20 different application packages

The last time I remember having a launching pidgin problem, it was something about dmesg and the .desktop file, but it would launch just fine from command prompt.... well it looks like we have bigger problems with pidgin this time around:

tablet:~# pidgin
Segmentation fault

Oh well.

Who uses ICQ????? I need AIM and Yahoo. Even the useless MNotify only works with Gmail. Leave it to Nokia to provide an IM Client built in that only handles networks nobody uses

Guess what? Whining isn't getting anyone anywhere.

Anyways.
I'm also having this issue with Pidgin.
I saw the update, tried to install it, but I got the Installation File Corrupted message.
I was able to install it manually with apt-get install --fix-missing pidgin, but Pidgin won't launch.
I get a Segmentation Fault when I try to launch from a terminal.
Does anyone know what this means?

Actually, nothing is getting us anywhere. I have uninstalled, reflashed and reinstalled. Tried the older version. Nothing. I guess the developers leaving what was working alone was out of the question.
