He said that's how you add ".com" in Internet Explorer or Mozilla - which I knew already. How can I do it on my iTab?

I'm pretty sure I said MicroB web browser (which is the browser that comes with the Nokia Internet Tablets).

It's not all that easy. MicroB seems to do some smart guessing. Right now I entered "ABBA" and it took me to the wikipedia-article about the swedish band rather than to www.abba.com (although this website exists). I don't know what MicroB does, but it always takes me to a reasonable site whenever I type in just a word. Probably it's Google's "I'm feeling lucky".

Are you putting that into the address bar? (Not in the google search bar in the default screen.) I haven't tried this (and can't try it right now) but it seems odd that it'd act like a google LUCKY search, the way you're describing it.

If I am hitting "CTRL + ENTER" - then I may as well just type out ".com"...

Yes, because typing in ".com" is the most time consuming part of my day...

Not to mention all the non-us TLDs (and even 2LDs), .co.uk and such. You could fill up the whole keyboard with them.

yes, i just type it in the address bar. i thought that's what it's for

for example, to go to the time table of the austrian federal railway, i type "öbb fahrplan" - and i'm there.
