You can attach text files to posts here (but not from the quick reply I believe).

What I meant was that's all that the xterm had when I ran that command. I couldn't scroll up or down anymore to copy anything else even though I'm sure there was more to the output. I think there is a limit to how far back you can scroll in xterm. So I gave you all that I was able to grab.

BTW....I'm using an n810 on the latest diablo 43-7.

Thanks for looking into this bug.

Hi,
  1. Did you run 'canola -vvv' as root ? Could you please try running it as an user and then pasting the output here ?
  2. In order to save all output (both from canola and from dpkg) you can use > to redirect it to a file, such as 'canola -vvv > /tmp/canola.output'
  3. Do you have any chinook or other repositories enabled ?

I tried your command as a regular user and it created a blank 1kb file. I even did it twice in two different locations just to make sure and got nothing but a blank file.

I did have chinook extras and diablo extras devel enabled earlier today. I disabled them ealier today after installing the chinook version of xournal. When I read your most recent post I opened canola up and did a scan for videos and this time it is showing all the videos. Not sure if this is a result of disabling those repos or not.

I retract my earlier comment. It showing more videos but not all. Out of the 8 videos that I have it is showing 6.

Is there anything special about the 2 videos not being displayed ? (different container, codec, anything)

Ok since I started this thread I have managed to solve my problem I used a different container than I had previously and converted the vids again with the internet tablet video converter and they all showed up after a scan.

Happy days...for a short while, since then I have started to get a 'Local drive is out of space, Canola is going to exit' message. This is always triggered when I am configuring my podcasts and could
only be cleared by reinstalling the app.

I have now gone back to Beta 9 and am having no probs with it.

Anyways I am going off topic for this thread.

Try changing the video container and it might work as it did for me.

Cheers

The two videos that canola cannot see are video podcasts "Loaded" and "Insider Secrets" both from cnet. I don't know what kind of container they use or codec. I do know that they both play in mplayer and media player.

I downloaded a "Loaded" podcast video to test and did a refresh on all my media folders and the video still didn't show up on "show all videos".

Do i need to reinstall canola?
