as expected, it seems to be a issue within webkit, as its the same across all browsers that make use of it.

someone annoying for me, who likes to use the full screen keyboard to type out forum posts and similar.

Yeah, plenty of editing issues. When quoting someone it seems you can't type too much before a preview. Previewing early keeps it in a friendly state. I have been forced to cut-and-paste to notes as a holding place while I figure out what to do. Also, the caps-lock sticks; sometimes good, usually bad. I just figured something out.

Interesting. There's a max number of characters before it goes into the bad preview state. More as I know.

Got Gwibber running on my tablet:

Still enough work to do: Quite a few libraries such as simplejson and mx.DateTime aren't available for maemo, the webkit view doesn't have finger scrolling, and the default theme scrolls rather badly on the tablet.

I have uploaded simplejson to extras-devel a while ago:
http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d.../s/simplejson/

Also, for some weird reason someone have tried overwrite it with the same version: https://garage.maemo.org/builder/dia...ejson_2.0.9-1/

I can't find simplejson on the tablet and I have the extra-devel repository.
If I trie to install it directly from the link It says me that the application is not compatible and so the installation is impossible.

Any idea?

Use apt-get. Apparently, simplejson isn't in a user/ section, so doesn't show up in the application manager. Open xterm, gainroot, and:
Code:
apt-get install simplejson

Cool. I looked for it via gronmayer.com, but it seems extras-devel is not listed there so I didn't find it.

I hope libwebkit goes into extras(-devel) soon, I'll then apply for an extras upload account to get all this stuff in as well.

Python-webkit is in diablo extras-devel now. Because libwebkit was only built for armel (autobuilder wont handle x86 build), I had to build this for armel only too. As a consequence: whatever you build against this must have an arch of armel and not all.

I've also packaged most of Gwibber's deps so expect to see them in extras-devel soon.
