How should I prepare my new battery? Li-ion comes partially charged. You can use the battery right away and charge it when needed.
Should I use up all battery energy before charging? No, it is better to recharge more often; avoid frequent full discharges.
I was just talking to a colleague and we agreed that the problem with many people evaluating the N810 is that they expect it to be a PMP, handheld gaming console, PDA, smartphone, or MID. It is really none of those, although it is most like a MID, only with a slower processor and longer battery life.
It does a halfway-decent job of several of those other things, too, especially portable media player. My daughter watched movies in the car yesterday for hours.
