Is there a way, to run Tear directly from one of the 3 icons in the sidebar? I think of replacing the MicroB icon by the Tear icon, showing bookmarks when clicking it - as MicroB does by default...

Yes, check the first post in the Tear thread - True Journals wrote a Tear Bookmarks task navigator plugin that you can install from extras-devel.

(I installed the Tear Bookmarks yesterday, but I've been baffled by how to get it to work until now.)
