I agree wholeheartedly. I have AT&T and need a new phone since my blackberry is dying. I thought about the $99 iphone 3g, but then considered the fact that you do everything but make calls through the itunes store...And since Apple has a strong sense of xenophobia and all I have at home is Linux, that is unacceptable.

So its off to some other phone...Not sure what yet. And still happily have my N810.

Thats something that really irritates me. The phone vendors and the service providers have some kind of plot to keep phones off of the different networks. Since I have AT&T, that means I am limited to the iphone, or the selection of other crappy phones. I have to go to TMobile to get an Android phone, or Sprint for the Palm pre or Verizon for the Blackberry Storm (I know, Verizon uses CDMA rather than GSM...)

But the vendors should make all phones available to all services.

jalladin, you're at Kunsan? How do you like the Land of the Morning Calm?

Well I guess I'll play the iPhone fan i this thread. I own, n810, 770, iPod Touch and a iPhone 3G. I wouldn't give my iPhone away as a phone for my N810 because well N810 isn't a phone. Like the iPhone isn't a Internet Tablet. iPhone has its down falls and screen size for a phone is't one of them if it was any bigger it wouldn't fit in my pocket as well. The person who said he has Unlimited everything for free on his N810 how do you have unlimited free internet on your tablet. You are still playing for the internet for your cell phone. I don't mind people discussing the differences between the two but get thing right and make sense when you say it. Like you don't have to get all your applications from Apple you can jailbreak and get Cydia for installing applications. Nokia is finally getting smart and working on an App store or there phones because that is what people want. I can't be leave anyone who uses a Nokia Tablet isn't as pissed off as I have always been for the limited number of applications that will run on the tablets. The only thing that has made my half way happy is using Mer or Easy Deb for running other apps I can get for Maemo.

Also VulcanRidr you can use the phones on other services you just have to pay full price for the phones.

I have an N800 and do have free unlimited internet. Many cities such as mine have free WiFi throughout the entire city. Also the company where I work has WiFi.

I mean that the ad did never explicitly said "cut", but just copy & paste (probably a translation "decay") -- and since that menu was only shown in the browser there was no "cut" option.

OMG they must have added some super amazing hardware to the 3gs to be able to pull off copy and paste! That functionality alone is the biggest selling point ever!

Heh, I know, right? It's like 1987 all over again with Wordstar.

Well, since the websites aren't your creation, "cut" unless you're pulling from input areas/textboxes would make sense. You can't do that on the N810 either.

And the bad thing about ads... they'll make a typical feature seem like it's the best thing since sliced bread. Copy/Cut/Paste... yay!

Meh. I have an iPhone, but as far as it goes... I'm looking for the replacement.

This reminds me of an Apple-related story I posted on Slashdot long ago.

I doubt an iPhone thread has comments like this. This is reason enough for me to prefer a NIT.
