If your PC is running Linux, I'd recommend using NX, from NoMachine, instead of VNC (if possible). ....

Yes, but in fact I was looking for the PC. Isn't there a company that offers virtual PCs in the internet which I can use over VNC (or other software) from my N810? That would be great. I don't want to use my private machine at home but a dedicated PC in a data center. Electricity is expensive.

To the original question: does g.ho.st work on the 810? Can anyone with an 810 give it a try?
