Can MobiTubia be ported from Symbian to Maemo? I like it. I don't know if there is a touch version for it.

Digia@scene is way better than mobitubia in all aspects... and of course there is mytube.

With the great camera in the N900 built in, wouldnt some good photo sharing and video sharing apps be in the order ? What good is a camera phone and always connected tablet be of use if we cant integrate the two uses - photo/video and instant sharing.

I would definitely look for having apps like Shozu (available for S60) and QIK (also available for S60) be also available for the Maemo platform.

added : on further thought I might actually find it difficult to give up my N95 just because of these two criteria - a great camera and appps like Shozu to instantly share the photos to Flickr/Facebook/Blog site unless I fiind something equallyconvenient and featurefull.

Until offline capability (via google gears?) and mobile layout becomes the norm rather than exception, specialized apps (widgets?) can provide better experience for mobile devices with small screen.

msgBoard, created by Viktor Csala (based in Budapest, Hungary), is a mobile social networking application providing a virtual black board (similar to a normal black board, or magnetic white board that can be found in the home) to closed user groups, such as a family or a small group of close friends. I believe there is a Canola plugin that allows flikr uploads, also gps-camera application.

I don't care much for the 'office' applications, Microsoft or not. DOC viewer might come handy... PDF reader is a must.

One thing I miss are more real time signal processing applications. Some examples mentioned around here lately are the iPhone ocarina and 4-track mixer apps, and barcode reader (QR code, etc), OCR... I started to make a vocoder gstreamer filter, let's see where it goes.

Being able to run Symbian or N-gage or other family of apps would be great, but I'm sure Mr. Willy Wokia tought of that and saw some kind of impediment.
