The only issue is that Quake just isn't Quake without frantic jumping and stylish manoeuvres

I would prefer:
- Strafing with the arrow keys
- Forward Backward with the arrow keys
- looking: stylus OR keys on the left side
- shooting: camera or volume button on the top!
- jumping: space

In the game Bounce Evolution (on the N900), shaking the device "up" (accelerometer) makes the character jump. "Shake gestures" could be coded for things like strafing, etc.

I think the accelerometer should be used sparingly as best, I already laugh too much when I see iPod Touch users that look like they are trying to give their iPod a happy ending
EDIT: Just tried playing Q2 with stylus and it dramatically improves playability!
Save the whales, feed the hungry, free the mallocs!
