How about a DevRoom? A room where we organise a stream of talks on Maemo, the N900 and the Maemo Community. How about we do what GNOME have done in the past, and share a half day with Debian? So we would have some talks specifically about Debian derivatives, including Maemo. And why not share the FDO room for a half day too, if they are having one again this year?

So Maemo activity would roughly be:
1 day Maemo-specific content
.5 day engaged with fd.o/GNOME/KDE
.5 day engaged with Debian

I like the idea, but a 'mobile room' wouldn't be more suitable ? (Gnome mobile, moblin,...)

First step is to confirm with FOSDEM organisers that we're interested in something - I'm sure they have ideas too.

Quim, is it you that is in contact with them now?

Dave.

Any movement on FOSDEM planning?

Their deadline is on the 22nd of November - it would be a shame to not be represented in some way. I'm willing to help out, but might not have internet access this weekend as I'll be on the road....

I've been waiting for Quim to respond to my offer to get in contact with FOSDEM organisers and the suggestions I had for participation.

There is an alternative: don't take a dedicated hack-room, but participate actively & ensure that there are Maemo related sessions in the Debian, GNOME and KDE hackrooms.

Quim, can you update on whether you still want me to take over co-ordination of this?

Dave.

Dave connected to FOSDEM organizers and also to the Mozilla team since were discussing about the possibility to collaborate in some sessions around Firefox Mobile.

Stand yes/no? I can help putting some hours there. We can also fund some merchandising for the occasion.

I'd say yes to stand. We need a volunteer co-ordinator to ensure the stand is manned all the time by a couple of people, and knowing myself at conferences, I would not be a good guy - I'm rarely on stands :}

Cheers,
Dave.

I'd gladly do it.

On the other hand I end up chatting with people a lot next to stands, so I can choose to chat in our stand. As long as I can scape to some sessions...
