Since eiffel is playing by his own rules, and since I will never again receive a "Thanks!" from eiffel already for having posted in this thread before receiving a retail N900, I will pass on what he posted in a private message to me, in order to explain how he could start a thread that said not to post in it unless you met a specific criterium criterion, when he himself didn't meet the posting criterium criterion:

But he is right. Since the thread did not exist prior to his post he could not possibly have posted to the thread. Q.E.D.

P.S. One datum for you, it's criterion (direct from the Greek, not Latin).

Thanks! Without help like this, I would be lost. Original post humbly corrected (Interestingly, I just noticed that my browser's spellcheck was suggesting exactly the same change)


Of course, technically, it could be effectively argued that eiffel was correct in his assessment of the situation.

I was just posting it here because he has disallowed himself from posting it, and I thought it would be helpful for everyone to hear his (rather clever) self-defense.

At the moment, it doesn't matter. Perhaps the Maemo Community Council could add an adgendum to permit misdeclensions in a given forum.
