I really don't get it. The Internet concept is always globally. this is why android, iphone and MW, these mature systems naturely support multiple regions to conver the almost counties in the world.

finally, the most ridiculous thing is the maemo system is a linux-kernal mobile system, it is a open source and globally community product, however the N900 is fianlly make as an another toy, which is just to satisify the European rather than the world.

Is it possible of Nokia want to get back the lost maket from N900 or Maemo? Who knows, maybe just a dream.
You sir, are an idiot.
If it's open source, you can ADD things. They don't have to do everything for you.
Plus, the top 10 languages of the world make up almost half the world's population, using Ethnolouge estimates. If Nokia sold 3 Billion N900s, I think they'd be pretty happy.

I was always under the impression that based on numbers of people speaking Kanji was up the top but be interested to be educated on this one: top 10 based on what criteria?

No, you're right, Chinese is the most common spoken language, well, Mandarin. It's the biggest country and the primary language, so..
But, Ethnolouge is basically a census of language, so to speak. They do a LOT of research, and a lot of people work on it. They use percents eligible, try to calculate 2nd languages spoken as percentages of population..etc. It's VERY interesting stuff.
By the way, Kanji is a not a very good indicator, since it is also the basis for Japanese writing, and I can tell you as a Japanese speaker, it is a VERY different language. And that would consider Cantonese too, which is also a very different language than mandarin.

Feel free to browse all of this stuff, I can spend hours at a time on here!
...plus it takes my mind off the fact my N900 won't be here for a million years.

It's ironic though that the accusation of stupidity contains a grammatic error. (Is that Skitt's Law?)

That sound is much more stupid, why? If you browse a Japanese languages BBS, would mind show me a reason i reply some threads in English as all time?

Just how many can both read an european/american languange and chinese/japanese? Not many. Does a single missing "not-often-used" feature make the N900 any less tablet. Not really.

If you guys think this suggestion is stupid one, I think the most stupid and pathetic guys come from here. Why? check out how much programmers work for iphone apps store and Android and even Symbian outside of this tower of ivory.

To see and understand the history of Maemo and Nokia devices, you guys perspective is understandable. When Nokia is really start to do global marketing of Maemo based devices somedays later, then, it will hire more developers to make as much as possible people around the world happy and statisify with the "offical" mark applications rather than you guys here.

We will see. who is the final dumb as*hole.
