Just got my notification of location (a hotel) and time (19:30). I find it interesting that it's not in the flagship store.

Hopefully they will have wifi set up so that I can stream it using Qik, and people can upload photos with reasonable speed, but otherwise I can use 3G if there's coverage.

There's a bar at the hotel, naturally, so I was thinking it'd be worth getting there early to have a beer beforehand and relax.

I was even thinking about arriving in the area about 17:30 to have a bite to eat beforehand. Anyone up for that?

The London meet-up is held in the St. Martins Lane Hotel ( www.stmartinslane.com ) Tuesday the 17th of November.
That would be here

The doors open at 7.30pm and the 'official' part starts at 8pm. For the following couple of hours you will be able to meet likeminded people, as well as Maemo folks from Nokia and the community.
We will provide some nibble food and N900 demos, so you can get a feel for the device in case you have not had the chance yet or just have fun with it. The event then ends at 10pm after which we can continue the chats elsewhere. We will also have a surprise lottery at the end of the event.

Is it worth going for drinks beforehand still?, seeing as this place has a bar and it will go on for a few hours

As the space is limited, we have a name list at the door so we ask you to bring a piece of identification with you.
They don't say what sort of ID, Do I need a drivers license or would a printout of the Email suffice?

Yeah, with full headers printed out, although I did put my first and second name which my drivers license will confirm so that should be OK

Hey, just wondering who else is attending the N900 meetup in London on the 17th, at the St. Martins Lane Hotel?

Thought I'd try get a thread going for those that are, and to get some idea of how many of the maemo.org community will be there.
