Because that's what the name of the game is. Everybody calls it BS bingo (need to shorten it for the absurd ***-thing in this forum).

If they'd release Monopoly for Maemo, would you call it "A game about making money"? Or "Monopoly"?

What on earth is wrong with the name?

'You're fired! Bingo' seems okay. But seriously, those app names can give bad press to the Maemo open source community.
Venomrush should be removed, replaced with 'Dork'? 'PC Dork' seems ok too. =)

Why not call it BS Bingo then? Everyone knows what BS means, but it might be less offensive than using the full word.

So that would be like: We know that everybody calls it blulsiht bingo, so they dont mind using the word and dont find it offensive, and we dont find it offensive either, because otherwise we wouldn't have cosen the name in the first place, but because we both don't think it's offensive we make it interesting by using *** or "BS" or whatever instead so that... what??

I wouldn't agree with, but would understand and accept people thinking porn applications, application names that have sexual meanings or maybe even things that are against whatever major religions in this world are problematic. I'd install them from some non-maemo.org repository that will probably come up sooner or later for battery-eating, insecure, illegal but insanely fun applications.

But I absolutely refuse to accept that anyone in this community seriously considers changing the name of a game that is the name of the game. No matter what language you use in your daily life, if you use or want to hear the word that's insanely ***'d here or not: The full phrase "blulsiht bingo" is a well known term that's widely used and accepted, even internationally. And it doesn't make little children erase their families with chain saws. (I do feel the need of using a chainsaw, though, when I click on links that have the URIs in their href-attribute changed by an out-of-control piece of software that's written to prove artificial intelligence can simulate a bigoted catholic nun.)

Most Catholic nuns of my acquaintance would be less interested in the swearword than the size of the jackpot payout.

Eh. Demonizing words gives them power. If people quit being upset by the word in question its magic goes away.

If there's a problem here it's with the forum's broken and pointless censorware that thinks that it's OK to turn functional URLs into non-functional rubbish.

"Approved"?
Because there are no people here telling which words are politically correct. And I like that fact. :-)

I've always known the game as Buzzword Bingo in real life, but have no objection to the use of a name that would not be approved for an iPhone app.

This game's name appears clearly at 0:04 in Nokia's "How to keep the N900 stuffed with the best apps" video:

Looks like Nokia Conversations didn't hear the warnings about not using extras-devel (some of the other apps visible are only in extras-devel)
