I'd like to see a call rejector too. And if possible some kind of automatic, tailored answering, where calls from certain numbers go through and others are diverted to the answering service.

I would like to know about this too as the previous "owner" of my land line number (which I forward to my mobile when away) owes some people some money, and the recorded calls from the collection agencies don't care on who's voicemail they are leaving the message. Getting closer everyday to ditching the land line though.

Many of the newer N-Series mobiles of the last year have this feaure. There's also some gesture-based software from a 3rd party company I forget the name of that enables this with other Symbian devices which have an accelerometer.

When its in your pocket, to ignore, do a hard double tap on the back of the case. This will simulate the idea of fliping the device and ignore the call.

The N97 does more of a silence the call vs an ignore though. Usable, but not as fun IMO.

Shepherd, which is under development, promises to provide something very similar or at least a possible framework where a plugin could be added to have this feature.
Check here - in any case it's an interesting project.

I think this reviewer talks about call rejecting if I remember correctly.

I dont particularly like the idea of turning the N900 face down on a hard surface.

You can always press the "silence" button to silence the call (the microphone with the red line - at the left-above the "answer"). The turn-over is useful if you have N900 inside a case and you don't want to get N900 out of it.
