Agreed. I had an extra universal eGrip sheet lying around, so cut it to fit the back of the N900. Maybe not ideal, but will work for me until something better comes out on the market...

i was using the hook already but it don't feel to good,
whats stops it coming off hook when back goes back on ?

edit: I've dropped my device twice now both times was when sliding KB open, it landed on the rim of screen both times slamming KB shut, there is no damage so far but I'm sure it will make slider wobble if it keeps occurring

When in place, the back should block that opening. Throw a simple loop around the hook if you're unsure.

I've been using this casing, which totally solves the slippery problem.

I was going to get one of those thin rubber skins for the N900 from eBay, but my phone signal sucks enough without adding another barrier to it.

I don't have a device, but i'm sure Mrs Physics can easily solve your problem: just find ways to hold it so it just can't slip. For example, when opening the keyboard, put your index fingers on top of the device, so the body can't go forward with the screen

i ordered a zagg invisible shield but its on backorder. got tired of waiting so i went to bestbuy and bought a universal zagg kit and cut it to fit the front and back of my n900. turned out pretty good and helps with gripping it

A big issue is people used to smartphones and their portrait function are having to adjust and this is causing Mr. Gravity to play into the mix.

Due to the smaller KB and since most of the weight is centered to the device and not the display, I find the N900 to be much easier to use in landscape than the Droid or G1.

Great device design and features- just suck a55 reception in low 2G signal areas

that sucks about your reception. ive actually noticed with mine i get really good reception, even in places where friends/coworkers have none. maybe there is some other problem? i have at&t so no 3g, but the speeds arent so bad.
