There's a library for Python called PyGame that might help with game making, though I don't know if it's been ported to the N900.

In C# you can start off a ready engine.
In C++ you have to make most of it from the bottom.
And... IMO, 2D games are so boring.. I never wanted to play games like LoZ Link to the Past. Because its 2D.
I got Unity3D, though. Hasnt there been a discussion about a port made by Unity?
