What I would suggest is not to copy copyrighted material, no matter how small it is, as it will be always be seen as dodgy. Set up Transifex.net with your project, ask people to translate. It will also be future proof, as any new functionality (switching between 2G and 3G perhaps) will be available for translation there as well. Follow Conboy, gPodder and Hermes

0.2-2 is released to testing: http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...modem-ui/0.2-2

User-friendly name was changed to Cellular Modem Control UI - Powerkey Buttons (which hints that I've in process of making less intrusive way to enable/disable cellular modem as well - a Control Panel Applet, which will be released as Cellular Modem Control UI - Applet later)

Changelog:
Code:
cell-modem-ui (0.2-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Bugtracker added to debian/control
  * Icon added for application via XB-Maemo-Icon-26
  * Dependency corrected from osso-systemui to osso-systemuimenu
  * Revised priorities some more to make it stick next to Phone

I see there is a lot of people who have thanked me for this, thanks you. Please go to 0.2-2 testing and vote up so it'd eventually end up in Extras.

A GSM/3g icon would be great , because 3g drain battery a lot and for example you don't need 3g when you sleep or when in wlan at home, gsm is enough to receive sms or calls.

Maybe automatically diseable 3g when connected to wifi ??

I'm wondering if this could just replace the offline mode with a menu asking what you would like to disable between GSM/Modem, Bluetooth, WiFi, FM, ... :-)

Its not in this packages scope, but its an idea I'll look into. I'm pretty sure its doable as IIRC we have a signal when we connect to/disconnect from wifi .

It was available in the power menu in the software builds at Nokia World at the launch; however, I imagine it was removed under the guise of "simplicity".

I'd hoped it'd be re-enablable by editing mce.ini but hadn't looked into it.

It's possible to be multilingual: http://slexy.org/view/s2LG51iMnb

(I don't speak Spanish, but it's a nice language...)
How did you get icons before text in that menu?
And arranged one types of actions to the left and another types to the right?

Thanks ! Great apps working just fine. I voted on devel.

And I second the idea of separating the phone (cheap roaming cost) from the 2G/3G (expensive roaming cost) if it make sense technically..
Thanks.
