KHD,
I have the same problem.
Starting after i was installing and uninstalling the libagg-dev package.
I thought it was because of the Calendar widget, so I removed it, but the problem remains.
I really prefer not to reflash, as I did it twice already, and it takes a lot of time to reapply all the installations and tweaks.
Did you managed to solve this issue?

timezone...i used "automatic" and still have this error,but when i disabe "automatic" it shows me washington :| ,i've put bucharest,but still the same.Strange is that when ii send sms it allways show my sms that were send 2 hours ago (if i send an sms to 22:00 the sms appears 20:00) don't know why. (sorry for a bit off topic)

hmm, I took my chances one more time and synced the calendar with my PC.
It has now been working nicely for one day and the theory of the time zone selection being the cause of trouble is growing.
The calendar application broke when I changed time zone from GMT+3 to GMT+1 (being set to automatic, but travelling)
For now I will stay put and watch the outcome.....

That did not last long. This morning all my events and notes where deleted from my N900 :/ This is even after an event alarm was called at 00:10 hours.
Now I have resynced againg and all the events are back...
