It can easily scratch from the micro-fibre cleaning.

I'm going to take good care of it from now on and wait until my screenprotector is here. Then I'll put it on right away.
Are you sure that your micro-fiber cloth doesn't have any grit in it and that the "scratches" really are scratches?

Try a clean micro-fiber cloth slightly moistened with a 50%-50% isopropyl alcohol water mixture.

i scratched mine using the stupid stylus. you can see one right to left scratch from using browser history and two tiny ones from scrolling. needless to say i dont use the stylus any more (not until screen protectors arrive). i also use lcd screen cleaning gel/solution on it daily now, just in case.

lol damn stylus the scratcher.. I think my micro fiber is dirty. I got like 5 pack of micro fiber cloth anyway. All from Apple iMac. Now I got my mum to turned it into a pocket friendly pouch lol so i can slide my N900 into it also it can be very handy to protect from pocket dust.

So far so good. The N900 is less dirty..

I have had mine N900 for a three weeks now and I did not bother with protector, and still I don't have any scratches on screen. So I don't think that scratching is an issue, as long as you don't throw your device or try scracth it on purpose

F*** I suck! I can't put on a screen protector.
By the time i decided what position is right there was so much lint and dust falling onto it I got bubbles no matter what I did and it looked like crap and removing the lint/dust became impossible.
Next time I'm going to find a clean room at work and put on gloves and f'n buy 3 of them until i get it right.
I use a silk bag that was made for safety/sunglasses to hold the N900.

I had my InvisibleShield at hand by the time I got my N900. Applied it nicely and no scratches whatsoever on the screen, and nowhere else on the phone either as far as I can see.

Yeah and I actually find the screen easier to use as the zagg makes it smoother when dragging stuff on the screen. Not to mention the safety provided when using finger nails for accuracy.
