I suppose technically it's not just the Internet that utilises data traffic but I seem to recall that MMS doesn't work either so that's one good reason out of the discussion!

I guess it's under Phone since it counts cellular data and not wifi. If it did both placing it under internet settings would make more sense.

Except the set-up for the various accounts is under 'internet' settings. I fully expected 'reset counter' or 'clear log' or some such to be an option on the cellular account set-up.

I would guess this came up now because those of us who first purchased n900s have had them for about a month.

Still, first thing I've found on n900 that made me think "now that's silly" so it isn't doing badly.

In that case, I completely agree that it should be in the same place as the account setup.

Also, I wish my phone would show up soon so I'll be able to see this stuff on my own(and not make a fool out of myself like in this thread )

Estimated shipping date Jan 14, but I'm not holding my breath considering Nokia Sweden also stated they're waiting for the 3 SIM issue to be fixed (i.e. PR 1.1) before releasing the phone to other Swedish retailers.

I don't have that path. I have Settings > Phone, and then only a 'Calls' menu where I can set call ID, and tick call wait and call transfer. Are there any other Settings->Phone somewhere?

When you get to 'settings>phone' scroll down. It's not terribly obvious that there's more settings further down which you don't see till you scroll.

I did try to scroll, numerous times, but I didn't touch the screen far enough to the left! I've run into this same issue a couple of times before, so methinks the UI could use some improvements here..

Got the counters reset now though!

i installed the personal data counter from the apps onto the desktop and it still has'nt updated? Reads 0.00000 B for both downloads and uploads?
