I have turned it off and tried to charge it that way. I left it alone for an hour and nothing, the status did change for the better.
the funny thing is the my mac wont even pick it up. i think the connection is broken in the phone but i just got it. i charged it and it worked the first time so i have to be doing something wrong.

i am not running any applications and there are no widgets on the desktop. it has the same settings as when i first turned it on.
