Okay so there are two files you need:

1 - The kernel modules in the thread Matan posted (tar.gz file I believe).

2 - A deb file (in the extras-devel repo I think) called libicd-network-dummy I believe.

I found it much easier to use WiFi + SSH to first setup all the files, that way you can copy/paste etc.

You can setup the above in any order. To change directories use the 'cd' command, like cd MyDocs

Once they are setup, you can edit the configuration files according to Matan's thread.

I am going to try and create a wiki page for this, as well as an app to easily configure it all. I am still new to working with the maemo system so it may take a while...

A good place for help is also the IRC channels, easier to get realtime help there.

Update for PR1.1: DNS resolver change. you need to change in the file /etc/ppp/ip-up.d/dns the two occurrences of tmp to var/log for DNS to work.

My lack of Linux experience has finally come back to haunt me. I may have to hold off until you get a great step by step wiki setup or someone comes out with a one step app to get this working.

The names of the files should be as I said. The contents, especially of the file /etc/ppp/chat/gprs is really dependent on your provider, phone and call method. If you are connecting to Verizon EVDO or 1xRTT, then it is probably good to copy the relevant chat files from the page you linked.
The file /etc/ppp/peers/gprs, should probably be left as I wrote it.

I don't have a Blackberry, so I don't know for sure, but the information in this thread might be of some use to people as well:

I think my mistake was that i thought it was a file in the /etc/ppp/xxxx/gprs directory and not the gprs file in the /etc/ppp/xxxx/ directory. But now i can not get the dummy network installed and nothing happens when i run:

chmod a+x /etc/ppp/ip-up.d

thanks in advance for any help

I can't tell you from personal knowledge, since the location of dummy package is very secret, which if will be exposed, Nokia will go bankrupt immediately, but a google search suggests that if you replace Q with 4 you might find it here:

I believe the first file in Matan's tutorial should be /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf instead of /etc/bluetooth/rfcomm. I had the same error message you mentioned and resolved it by adding the configuration to rfcomm.conf
