When it's very low it gives you one sick tone. When it's actually about to shut down it gives you three. I've let it go that low many times, then I put a charged one in.

Gosh, don't You people know, that every especially our mobile (or in our case tablet) phone needs a regular recharge=))?

What's a regular recharge, daily at 12:17?

Short blinking yellow (so short you barely see it) indicated charging fault. Unfortunately you can't determine from the led what the actual fault is, but in this particular case it was probably "Undervoltage fault", as 350mA is a bit too little to start charging on.
