Actually, it was "typical" in the specsheets. There were no minimal and maximal numbers.

I have tested the FM transmitter again. I tried channel 88.1 and 88.5 (no luck) then I tried 88.9 and it worked with static.

What is the best channel here in FL to use the FM transmitter?

It depends on the sales region. 114 on my device in Germany, however the device is a QWERTY English model bought from Finnish Forum Nokia.

I live in a populated area, I cant tune any frequency that is not occupied. Plus car does make a huge difference. In my car I get static but can hear it (positioning is important) but in my bosses car I could not hear it at all even though he has a newer/nicer car.

His car has a AUX input though and thats the way you really want to go. No hassles and best quality. I find the FM transmitter is beter suited for using an indoor radio where you can put it right next to the antenna rather than car listening.

If your radio does not have aux input on your car (mine has a $40 adapter I can get that I am thinking about) then you maybe better off tracking down a external FM transmitter that is higher powered,

when radio has connect to the n900 but has nothing to play it sends peeping sound. they have also added rds to the fm transmitter
