They took a while to arrive - the first package was sent 'Insufficient postage' (I know this because it took many weeks to arrive and had been annotated accordingly) but to vendor's credit he sent a second package (which arrived some time before the first one) at no charge when I had waited 3 weeks for the first package with no joy.

Without having the original to compare to, it's hard to say if they are better or worse. I suspect these are made in a 2-part mould, which does lead to a slight roughness on the stylus tip. I have a cheap screen cover which is taking any damage for me. The stylus fit is fine - no trouble with them falling out.

I might have reservations about using these directly on the screen, but with a protector you'll be fine, and for such a low price for several, it's a steal. I lost my second stylus a few weeks ago and it didn't bother me at all this time cos I had a replacement ready to roll.

I should note that I've had these for some weeks now - I just forgot to post back to this thread. I think the second package took approx 2 weeks to arrive from HK to Canada.

Shame.

As I said, I don't have the original any more - perhaps I wouldn't have given such a generous review if I had it to compare to the replacements. Now I think about it, I think they are a little more flexible than the original, but no issues with fit in the receptacle on the N900.

My only real concern is the 2-part mould process I think has been used to create the replacements, meaning they are likely to scratch more than the original (which I think I remember reading somewhere is made using a more expensive single-part mould process - but don't ask me for my source on that cos I can't remember).

i ended up buying an original stylus from an authorized nokia service centre (the last one left). as it turns out, i couldn't buy a stylus by itself. it comes together with the bracket that you slot the stylus into (the one that houses all the external buttons and the infra red port). paid about $30 for it (*ack).

I recently bought this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISA...=STRK:MEWNX:IT ... they are still in stock & it was delivered promptly.

If you are in the UK, for £13, it has the full fascia (front & back outside casing, metal beveled ring, keyboard etc.) and includes the stylus too. Even if you only want a stylus, it is worth buying the package, you never know when you may want some other spares! AFAIK it is genuine Nokia parts - looks & feels identical to the original.
