The first thing to try is take the battery out, count to 10, then put it back it. Then, without doing anything else, especially WITHOUT TURNING THE PHONE ON, plug in the charger. Wait for at least an hour (better still, until the LED goes green) before you turn it on.

just tried this but as soon as I plug the charger in the orange charge lights comes on, goes to the dim nokia screen and starts the loop phase ( ._.)

You don't need to wait for Christmas. If you have a digital camera with its own charger and some basic electrical skills, you can (ab)use that to charge your phone's battery. Observing the polarity, connect the charging pins of your camera charger to the + and - pads on your battery. You will need two wires and something to hold them in place for a couple of hours. Make sure the camera's battery is rated at the same voltage (~3.7V), but nowadays everyone uses the LiIon technology so chances are it will fit.

Note this trick works only for chargers that require taking the battery out of the camera and putting it in the charger. If the camera charges directly through a connector of some sort than this obviously won't work.
