Today I was sent 3 calender entries by SMS from a Nokia E63 (runs Symbian S60) to my N900.

I didn't get anything on the N900, even though the network sent back a delivery confirmation.

No SMS notification, vibrate, sound, light, nothing in Conversations, and no calendar changes.

On other phones, it has appeared as either a special text with the only options being to delete or store in the calendar (annoyingly they tend not to offer forwarding), or it's appeared as a regular text containing text formatted as vcal (I think). There are often problems where an unwanted timezone or daylight savings change happens to the appointment time.

Until now, I've not seen a phone simply discard an incoming calander SMS with no notification at all, while confirming delivery to the sender.

Anyone else able to reproduce this?

Tried it a couple of days ago. Same result. No SMS received, no message, nothing. I thought it would at least receive the SMS, if not able to actually import it in Calender.

Your's is an issue of not importing the file(s) using the proper procedure(s).

First, save the vCard file to the phone.

Second, import the "file" via the Contacts app.

You will not be able to import the file "directly from the SMS message".
