I like it, though i would prefer the frequency to be easier to access than to have to go through "desktop config mode"...

Also, why is fm-boost necessary?
Couldn't it just deprecate it and integrate the "echo 118 > ..." command in? :-)

Thanks for the good work! :-)

One reason I can see the benefit to keeping this widget separate from fm-boost is that the boost needs to be activated basically anytime you do anything to the fm transmission (such as switching frequencies, stopping/starting the media player, etc.)..

It's nice to be able to just keep the transmitter going in those cases and just hit fm-boost when necessary. If it were integrated at this stage, the transmitter would be constantly having to be restarted simply because a boost is wanted..

I'm not sure if it could be written to 'watch' for any activities requiring a re-boost and apply it automatically, but I guess if it's possible, that would be the best solution.

Love the fact that it gives a little visual confirmation that the boost has been applied though -- very nice touch

Greetings,

I have Simple-FMTX-Widget version 0.4.0 and FM Boost installed, but I don't see any settings, such as the ability to enable Boost as in the screenshot. Any suggestions?

On the homescreen (with it on the widget screen) go into widget customisation - Click empty space, Click edit button top right) From there click on the spanner in the bottom left corner of the FMTX widget. Settings are there.

Thanks. Looks much better indeed - good job with this.

I second the requests to have FM boost built-in (which doesn't mean that the dedicated FM boost app should disappear - not everybody wants to use a widget for this). The widget should monitor frequency changes if possible and apply FM boost as appropriate if the user enables it in the settings.

I'm also a bit disappointed that it's not possible to make the frequency dialog pop-up easily anymore. I found the quick frequency setup in the previous version very handy. Would be good to have this back (perhaps as an optional setting - when activated, an extra tappable panel would be appended to the side of the widget, similar to what we had in the previous version).
