Could you post a pic without the N900 blocking the view?

I'd like to see the holder clearly to find a similar one or the exact same.

here you go ... more pics.
It fits in really snug ... no chance of it falling out even with fast acceleration/over speed bumps etc.
at the bottome there are 2 swivelly things which support it and its all fully adjustable to suit your viewing preference.
I bought it from a random mobile phone shop for a fiver ... it was advertised as a psp cradle!

Fraaaanka, do you have the manufacturer name and model? I'll try to get one also. Thanks!

sorry mate, no details on it and the packaging is long gone!
this one on ebay is exactly the same mount but the long bit is different as its a flexi wire instead of solid plastic pieces

I was looking this weekend at car mounts for the N900, and it struck me how inconvenient it is to have the usb port on the left/top side rather than on the same side as the phono jack.

When mounting anywhere, I ideally want a dock which I *could* leave vertical for phone type use, or rotate to horizontal for normal use. But neither of these uses is well serviced with a usb port where it is.

Anyone else thought this?

If Nokia are listening, next phone it would be nice to put these on the same side, ideally bottom. I think it would foster a much better set of accessories.

If Witter isn't working for you, eg crashes/doesn't start, gives errors etc etc. Please run it from x-term using:
run-standalone.sh python2.5 /opt/witter/witter.py

This will generate diagnostic output. Without this I cannot help you.

There are a couple other threads that talked about this.

Try searching for "USB port on wrong side". Actually, it would be ideal if everyone tries searching for the terms before starting a new thread..

I was relying on the 'similar threads' function when I started the title to reveal anything that seemed the same. I guess that function isn't as good as the search function.
