I've managed to build clisp .debs and added corresponding links to the first message in this topic. Now I will try to find out what's wrong with EXT:SAVEINITMEM.

I'm a beginner at this and am reading Land of Lisp. Is there a general way I can run examples from that book, intended for CLISP, in Clozure? When I try
(defparameter *small* 1)
I get a message saying that there is no source code.
Or should I just continue installing CLISP, as I am doing now (I hope)?

I've spent many hours trying to get clisp to compile on the N900, before finding your post. You've made my day...
Do you have final patches applied to the clisp source tree, so that I can try these against 2.49 version?
Or are the patches in your first mail to the clisp list final, with no changes made pursuant to the discussion?
