i am new to maemo. i bought the USD 550.00 device and could not be more happy with it.(as a end user not a developer - i do not develop)
if my USD 550.00 device does not receive meGoo so what...? It is still an awesome device and will not die over night.
If the new meGoo device from Nokia, from LG or from whoever fits my needs better then my n900 i will just sell it and move on.
The great thing for me as a consumer is that now I have choice.
I don't like Google
I don't like Apple
Now I can go to any Harware Manufacturer that produces phones with MeeGo - trust me there will be multiple - and buy a cool MeeGo device I am no longer bound only to Nokia. Exiting times will probably start in about 18 months until then I will be happy surfing along with my shiny n900
