I've added the repositories but It doesn't show any new software to install
it seems like I am only showing one repository. why can't I see them?

I followed all of the advice above. I have GAIM and all associated files listed in the application manager now. I installed maemo mapper first. When I try to install GAIM I still get the message that I am missing libxau0. What should I try next?

Nope. Memo mapper does not install libxau0

1) Add the official Maemo repository as a catalog, if you haven't already. If you don't know how to add a new application catalog, check out the instructions on http://www.maemo.org/maemowiki/ApplicationRepositories

2) Switch the application manager to "red pill mode." Instructions are here if you need them: http://www.maemo.org/maemowiki/Appli...gerRedPillMode

3) Install the "libxau0" package, if it isn't already installed.

After installing this package you can switch the Application Manager back to "blue pill mode" if you want.
