It could be that some poorly written applet is consuming too much memory/cpu cycles. Try disabling all applets, and then enabling one by one, to find out if maybe they are the problem. One was in my case.

In the case of the N800 and N810, I don't find flashing necessary as often as I used to. I think the Diablo environment eventually became pretty stable so it's usually not necessary.
However, if this doesn't work, then I will give a flash serious consideration.

i use the n810 all day as well, but haven't reflashed since the last os update. i've only done reset/clear device twice (from control panel). if you do that, make sure everything is backed up to your removeable card, or you'll lose it.
