I'm trying to figure it out buddy, the strange thing is that on my phone it isn't asking for a password.

as soon I figure this out, I'll post an update.

Using the a and s buttons worked, but it made a very odd mechanical sound when i first used it. is that safe?

How about put a widget in status bar instead of using keyboard ? Using keyboard when taking video makes great noise and hard to operate .

I do not have problem in using it . No password needed .

I've added a newer deb that should fix the password problems for some users.
check the first post on this thread for the deb package:
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=554743&postcount=1

please test it and keep me informed

and about adding an interface for the script over the camera GUI, I'm not sure I'll succeed in that, maybe a more experienced coder could help with it

It installs to the /usr/share/ folder, if making it install to the /opt/ folder would make things better I might do that, is that what you mean ?

work great but the camera hardware on the N900 is not the best focal point camera on N-series. I think if we get the N93i capability on focusing then the N900 camera is the bomb!

It installs to the /usr/shared/ folder, if making it install to the /opt/ folder would make things better I might do that, is that what you mean ?
Hey thanks for the work. It works perfectly.
However i have another question. Can you totally switch of the led .... for taking covert videos? It would be great if you could map some other character for that function.

Thanks for the app.....
