Did you look where the thing has been developed? Bochum.

nokia already had tech demo that transferred a music album in couple seconds over the air. and now there are usb -> hdmi boxes that can drive out fullHD so....... Don't know if that is really useful but at least it would be cool

It seems that the HD output needs external hardware. I don't see how this can be developed without Nokia actually building the hardware...
