As a TIP: If you have two fields of msn in a contact just click either of the two msn fields and it merges the two account infos into into one.

hi i have installed pidgin and amsn and i cannot seem to to be able to log into my msn account. I enter my password and username but it just says not signed in?
Is it something to do with the settings?
the same happens with yahoo also.

I am a Uk user on the t-mobile network.

Problem solved :-) after reading back in the forums... I upgraded my phone to web and walk plus for an extra £5 a month and i can now access Yahoo and Msn through the chat. They explained it just had a data cap before.... or something along those lines. I'm happy now anyway :-) just waiting for ebuddy or fring now though.

I've just installed pecan and every time I login, I get dozens of authorizations requests, even If I decided on those already :@

I thought it was a fist-run thing, but it's happened the 4 times I've logged in.

Anyone with this issue ?

@lsolano - yes i have the same issue. PISSES ME OFF!!! bisextual_cutie6464 is sweating me hard. she askes me everyday to hook up. i keep telling her no, but she is relentless. there are others too, but she is the crazy stalker one!

the only thing to keep them away is to block them via MSN messenger itself. i dont see repeats when i catch them while logged in at home. I'm gonna get you bisexual_cutie4646!!!

I had the same problem. No IM worked until I spent literally 3 hours searching forums and the web and realised you need to upgrade t-mobile to W&W plus. That gets you IM but you may still find you have to upgrade further to access anything like Skype or perhaps using your N900 for tethering to your laptop. But that's another l.o.n.g story! lol

I couldn't get my head around Haze or aMSN. The latter seems to be more of a web-link rather than fully integrated into the phone (but am not expert). I tried them and Pidgin and butterfly. Each is different, the latter two work well for me. Butterfly with the in-built N900 Conversations is easiest to use and update status. But Pidgin is pretty cool for seeing who's online in one window and has many plug-ins to expand functionality.

As I don't have dozens of IM contacts (billy no mates I guess), I tend to use Butterfly for ease of use.
