Let the speculation begin
Who wrote this tweet?
Also, who was the "guy who had held one"?
How trustworthy is this?

Every other rumor says that it won't have a QWERTY.

BTW, I don't really care. I won't replace my N900 for at least 2 years.

I wonder how they're going to put all that hardware in there, if it's not a downgrade.

The n900 is pretty packed :P

no qwerty keyboard no new phone in my hand hehe one reason why i've chosen N900 was the keyboard because I have touch-only tablets/phones

no qwerty keyboard and no "MicroB" like web browser, then I will keep my n900.

Don't you mean: "Next MeeGo Device half as thick as the n900 with Qwerty"

Somehow people continue to mention these weigt and thickness like they are unanimously bad things. I think the thicksness is important, it makes the device more robust, sturdy, less breakable. We have bodies full of non-straight-lines, and a somewhat thick device has a better chance to survive in the back pocket of your pants or somewhere else.

The same goes for weight. If my device is too light, I can't feel it in my pocket and, distracted as I am, I'd easily lose it. Sometimes I get drunk in parties, and it really helps if I can feel the weight of my mobile, lest someone could even steal it from me.

It seems like a trend to consider good only the phones that follow the iPhone's design. Even that capacitive touchscreen fashion - it's not universal. I live in a tropical country (Brazil) and sometimes even at night it's too warm here, I got a somewhat oily skin and it's usual for me to be sweating. Using my fingers in such a scenario is disastrous, the screen gets dirty and very difficult to clean, unpleasant to watch.

The stylus solves this problems and is much more precise. I like drawing on my device and it's way better for that too.

Leaked N8 with 12mpx camera, HDMI out and what not seems to be around 13-14mm and the not yet that solid rumour of E7 with qwerty, 8mpx camera that would be announced with N8 is supposed to be 13.8mm.
So i would expect it to be around there. I'm also a old communicator user, but i have to say that i would want my next device to be under 16mm. Weight isn't a problem, more like a good thing(again N900 isn't anything compared to all mighty E90 210 grams )

I just want a bigger/better screen, better qwerty, better camera, and finally a better battery. I'm happy with that even if they keep the thickness and weight. Heck, they should throw in USB host and a digital compass.

If the next device don't satisfy those requirement, then most likely I would not replace my N900.
