skippy-xd and wavy integration has been ported by t-moyashi for maemo and he has also put them in the extras-devel repository.. he has also integrated apwal to this.. This combination introduces a good gesture launching feature for maemo..

details are mentioned here by moyashi, but in Japanese.. google translate is your friend..

skippy-xd is working on my N810 without issues for more than a month now

@shin

Yep, but I have some problems with setting the apps to the corners... The skippy-xd stop work if I do it. Maybe it because i do it wrong.

Kroll: Thanks for your input. I downloaded Quasar a few days ago. Nice work. I'd definitely appreciate your theme.

I assume by "tasknavigator" you mean the swap menu. How did you do that?

Hey, if you think that I created Quasar — you're mistaking. It is a short ui review for my friend, I found this app in repository
I assume by "tasknavigator" you mean the swap menu. How did you do that?
No, tasknavigator is a full left bar with three icons (Applications, Web browser, contacts, etc) and icons of running applications.
I deleted lines in [Tasknavigator] part in /home/user/.osso/hildon-desktop/desktop.conf. You can just set a wide parameter in this config to zero, but you will find a tiny line on the left side of your screen and in this case the «home» button will run the swap menu. If u will delet lines (like i did) — you will lose the swap menu too.

Hey thanks. I misunderstood the Quazar reference. Hmmm. if I deleted 'tasknavigator" then I'll need to setup powerlaunch or something so I can get into my apps first. I'll try this later.

Not really.
If you saw my video u definitely saw that I placed application menu to the applets area in statusbar. I just copied it from the tasknavigator's plugins directory to statusbar's plugins directory. You can find this directories in /home/user/.osso/hildon-desktop/desktop.conf for statusbar and tasknavigator.
You will probably need to draw a new icon for small application menu button.

I think the powerlaunch will works fine in the statusbar, but I never tried.

Isn't there a limit to the number of items that can go into the status bar area? With what I have up there already the moved items would fall off.

Sorry, I have not get it, my English is not very good.
You can place a 7 applets in the statusbar and, as I think, it is a Diablo limit. I make the applet area very wide, but when I setting up more then 7 applets they go to the second layer.

You are correct. on mine the limit is 6. Once the 7th is posted I get a second line but you have to hit the arrow to get to them. Mine is packed already so moving anything else up there would not work.

Anyway I look forward to your theme, perhaps it will address some of my concerns

Hm... May be I did something and I don't know what but I able to post 7 applets without any arrows (You can find the proof of it in the video link was posted in the first post).
Any way, I hope I will finish my theme and you will be able to run it on your n8x0 device.
