also can confirm this. especially annoying when listening to music via headphones (i use BT ones and have yet to hear ANYTHING)

speaking of, even phone calls are barely heard when listening to music via my nokia BH 503's....very very soft ringtone and sometimes nothing at all - but that may be something with the headphones...? no idea.

I prefer the quiet beep; seems like I'm in the minority.. or maybe I just have my life in order to the point that SMSes are not so vital to me that I must instantly stop everything I'm doing and jump on the phone to read my text! Woo! My text! Someone sent me a text! Woo! I must reply to it instantly! Woo!

Yeah.. I think I'd far rather have my Foo Fighters play uninterrupted - texts are for unimportant, idle chitchat. If your other half crashed their car and is dying in a ditch somewhere, I hope they'd make a CALL not send a text *rolleyes*

as you might have noticed there only is a small beep when u receive an sms whilst listening to music.

according to mr.klapper this is not a bug but a feature!

it would be highly welcomed if you could vote here to show that users are unhappy with this, as he actually thinks that it is not an issue:

This thread should be merged with the following:

My 0.02: I agree with Andre - it's a feature to have a beep when an SMS comes in and the device is already playing audio, not a bug

i reaaly prefer it this way. its annoying if there is a loud beep or if the music stops. it may be good if there is like a long vibration or if the notification is thru speaker only but it kills the music mood
